Was wondering if anyone could help me out, as posted in the TS forums i recently got rejected for an ITIN number and the rejection letter doesnt seem to make a whole lot of sense.

It says i should have ticked box (h) and that i should have given an exception number and provided supporting documents.

Anyone able to shed some light on what exactly they mean, and what documents i'm meant to provide other than my passport?

I still havent received my passport back from then, i really really hope it arrives soon.

Attached is the application form and the rejection letter if that helps.

[mode edit]: Jock, since it seams you know what to do next and you probably don't need any more assistance from forum members I removed your scanned documents as there were some private details and info that should be kept in private. I hope you don't mind [/mod]

I forget exactly what went on my W7. A nice man at the embassy checked it, but it looks like you need to put 'UK' in the line below 'h'. Next to 'h' I think I wrote some gumf about recieving royalties from a US firm in dollars - didn't seem to hurt.

What you do need is the letter from TS explaining the situation. They have these on file and will send you one on request. That has to be in with the W7. Go to the embassy if you can. Infact the IRS office is just around the corner, but within the security cordon.

Yeah having went through my responses in TS, i think going to the embassy is going to be my best bet, even it it does cost me a fair bit to do. Was hoping it wouldnt come to that, but its probably the best course of action.

Well received my passport in the mail today so thats something.

And TS have qwent through my application and listed what was wrong with it, so if i resend it, hopefully all should be well. They have also said they will check the application before being posted which is quite good.

I i go down that route i'd need to send it again, which isnt great, but then again it got back to me this time ok, and hopefully next time there shouldnt be any problems so it should go ok.

Or, i travel to London as suggested and get them to sort it. Whatever's cheapest is the route i kinda need to take at the moment with the way things are, which will probably mean re-sending the passport.

Does anyone know what to expect when filing an ITIN request from Europe? Filed mine around Christmas from Holland. When can I expect a reply? Its been a month now and I am not worried yet. Bureaucracy and stuff..

I think it took me about 6-8 weeks to hear back from them.

I just received a rejection letter. Reason: I did not fill line 1.h properly or did not send supporting docs. I sent a "member_pay_letter" from T3DS along, in which Matt A. explains I need an ITIN to get rid off the 30%. Should I also have included tax returns? I did not do that.

I do believe I filled line 1.h properly.
